Latkes In The Jungle - Book 1  is a memoir about Jill Ayn Schneider's challenge of Class V on a PAP test, which was considered Malignant Cervical Cancer. She chose to use Oriental Medicine in 1975, rather than surgery and other conventional medical options for her Cervical Cancer. Jill describes her authentic approach to healing cancer, such as using Macrobiotics along with Traditional Chinese Medicine of Acupuncture and Herbs.  Most importantly, Jill didn't allow herself the luxury of letting her mind occupy itself with any fear during the process of healing. She never told her family, so that she would be free to follow her intuition, use mostly common sense and avoid surgery and anything else. Two years later she birthed her son. The unusual title is about a recent experience Jill had in the jungles of Honduras. Read the book.  Soon to be an audio book with music.

According to Webster's Dictionary, the definition of Alternative Medicine: are any of the various systems of healing or treating disease (as homeopathy, chiropractic, naturopathy, Ayurveda, or faith healing) that are not included in the traditional curricula taught in medical schools of the United States and Britain.

This memoir will help you to think about your disease and to question what one needs to do in order to heal themselves. For Jill, Alternative Medicine gave her a gentle path. Courage, irreverence and passion to live life on one's own terms is the pervasive theme throughout Jill's story, both before and after the cancer. It's a story of freedom -  to take what you have been given and squeeze it for all it's worth, with no excuses.

Watch and listen to Jill Ayn Schneider  being interviewed by Chris Wark,  another cancer survivor.  For the past 20 years, Jill has described herself as a Holistic Life Coach who works with clients in person or over the phone. Most of her work is with pro-active clients who want to prevent this rampage of cancer. They want to learn how to defend and protect themselves. How about you?
